INSTANT POT MIXED LENTIL CURRY
INSTANT POT SPINACH LENTIL CURRY
INSTANT POT SOUTH INDIAN STYLE DAL
Channadal - 1/3 cup (wash and soak the Dal for 1/2 an hour)
Onion - 1/2 cup
Tomato - 1 (small, chopped)
Grated ginger - 1 tbsn
Green chilli - 1 (broken into 3 pieces)
Turmeric - 1/4 tspn
Sambar powder - 1 tspn
Mustard seeds - 1/4 tspn
Cumin seeds - 1 tspn
Curry leaves - few
Coriander leaves - few (chopped)
Asafoetida - 1/8 tspn
Oil - 2 tspn
Salt to taste
2. Switch on the IP. Press the saute mode. Add oil, mustard seeds, cumin seeds.
4. Add onion, curry leaves, green chilli. Saute till it becomes translucent.
5. Add tomato, ginger, asafoetida. Saute till it becomes mushy.
6. Add Chayote, salt, turmeric. Saute for few seconds.
7. Add the soaked dal. Mix well.
8. Add 1 cup of water. Add coriander leaves.
9. Close the lid. Press the manual or Pressure cook mode for 10 mins in High Pressure HP in sealed position. Then do Natural Pressure Release NPR.
10. Open the lid. Add few coriander leaves.
11. Easy chayote kootu is ready to serve with hot plain rice.

Method:
