Instant pot Double Beans Masala

Double Beans or Lima beans is loaded with lots of nutrients like iron, zinc, magnesium and fibre, also helps in diabetes, reduces the risk of cancer. I have already posted few Lima beans recipes. Check out that too....
LIMA BEANS PULAO
LIMA BEANS GRAVY

Cooking time: 15 mins

Serving: 2

Ingredients:

Lima beans - 1/2 cup (washed and soaked for 6-8 hrs)
Onion - 1/2 cup (chopped)
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tspn
Turmeric - 1/4 tspn
Sambar powder or red chilli powder - 1/2 tspn
Mustard seeds - 1/4 tspn
Fennel seeds - 1 tspn
Coriander leaves - few (chopped)
Oil - 2 tspn
Salt to taste

Method:

1. Grab all the ingredients.

2. Switch on the IP. Press the saute mode. Add oil, mustard seeds and fennel seeds.

3. Add onions and saute till it becomes light golden brown.

4. Add ginger garlic paste and saute till the raw smell goes.

5. Add lima beans, salt, turmeric, chilli powder. Mix well.

6. Add 1/4 cup of water. Add few coriander leaves. Mix well.

7. Close the lid. Press the manual for 10 mins in High Pressure HP in sealed position. Then do Natural Pressure Release NPR.

8. Open the lid.

9. Lima beans masala is ready to serve.

Notes:

You can serve this masala as a side dish for sambar, rasam and curd rice. You can also have it rotis and pooris.
