Instant Pot Couscous Sprouts Porridge (Breakfast Porridge)

This recipe is usually done with normal rice. So I thought to try the recipe with couscous and sprouts that will definitely be a healthy breakfast in your diet. I have already posted few porridge varieties - millet porridge 1, millet porridge 2, barnyard millet garlic porridge, tricolour Quinoa porridge, black uraddal porridge, uraddal porridge sweet version, ramzan millet Nombu kanji.

Ingredients:

Roasted couscous - 1/4 cup
Sprouted green moongdal - 1/4 cup
Garlic - 2 (chopped)
Dry ginger powder - 1/2 tspn
Cumin seeds - 1 tspn
Turmeric - a pinch
Coconut - 1 tbsn (grated)
Water - 3 cups
Salt to taste

Method:

1. Grab all the ingredients.

2. Switch on the IP. Add all the ingredients except coconut in the inner pot.


3. Close the lid. Press the manual for 4 mins in High Pressure HP in sealed position. Then do Natural Pressure Release NPR.

4. Open the lid. Add coconut.

5. Healthy couscous sprouts porridge is ready to serve.

Notes:

You can try the recipe with millets and normal rice instead of couscous.
You can add grated ginger 3/4 tspn instead of dry ginger powder.
