Protein rich idly fry


I had few sprouted moongdal in my refrigerator and also few leftover idlys. I thought to give a try with the above two mixed with few masalas for our breakfast. It came out really well. As sprouts is very rich in protein I liked to name it as PROTEIN RICH IDLY FRY. I myself thought, what an idea sir (chamu) ji😂😜. Serving: 2

Ingredients:

Idly - 6 (chopped into small cubes)
Moongdal sprouts - 1/2 cup (steamed)
Onion - 1 (small, finely chopped)
Tomato - 1(finely sliced)
Garlic - 2 (big cloves, finely chopped)
Red chilli powder - 1/2 tspn
Pepper powder - 1/2 tspn
Curry leaves - few
Coriander leaves - few (chopped)
Oil - 2 tspn
Mustard seeds - 1/4 tspn
Salt to taste

Method:

1. Grab all the ingredients.

2. Heat a kadaai. Add oil, mustard seeds.

3. Add garlic and saute till it becomes light golden brown.

4. Add  onions and saute till it becomes transparent.

5. Add tomatoes and saute till it becomes mushy.

6. Add red chilli powder, salt and saute till the raw smell goes.

7. Add sprouted moongdal and mix well.

8. Add cubed idlys. Mix well.

9. Add pepper powder and mix. Garnish with coriander leaves and curry leaves.

10. Protein rich idly fry is ready for your breakfast.

Notes:

You can add raw sprouts too.
You can add any vegetables too to make it more healthy.
