This is an easy evening snack for a cold rainy day that requires very simple household pantry items.
Sweet Potato - 1
Dry Ginger powder - 1/4 tspn
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tspn
Cumin powder - 3/4 tspn
Pepper powder - 1/2 tspn
Garam masala - 1/4 tspn
Amchur powder - 1/2 tspn
Fennel bulbs - 1/4 cup (chopped)
Mint leaves - 1/2 cup (chopped)
Oil for making tikkis
Salt to taste
2. Place the sweet potato and peeled raw banana on the trivet. Pour 1 cup of water in the inner pot.
3. Close the lid. Press the manual or pressure cook mode for 5 mins in High Pressure HP in sealed position. Then do Natural Pressure Release NPR.
4. Open the lid. Take both, Peel the skin of sweet potato. Mash both sweet potato and raw banana well using hands or a masher.
5. Add all the other ingredients in it. Mix well.
6. Make a medium size balls, flatten it into a thick roundles.
7. Heat a tawa or a pan. Add oil. Place the tikkis. Let it cook for 2-3 mins.
8. Carefully flip on the other side. Cook it for 3 mins until it becomes golden brown and crisp.
9. Hot and healthy tikkis are ready....
I added pepper powder for spicyness. You can add green chillies if you want it more spicy.
Cooking time: 15 mins
Serving: 10 tikkis
