As you all know Pesarattu made with greengram and rice serves a healthy option for breakfast I thought of doing it even more healthy with black rice. I didn't even add chillies to go for a healthy choice. Just ginger is good enough.... Check out my other DOSA / ADAI / UTHAPPAM VARIETIES.....and BLACK RICE RECIPES....
Greengram - 1/4 cup
Yellow moongdal - 1/4 cup
Cumin seeds - 2 tspn
Ginger - 1 inch
Coriander leaves - 1 cup
Oil for cooking Pesarattu
Salt to taste
2. Grind cumin seeds, ginger, coriander leaves coarsely. Then add the soaked mixture and grind it into a fine mixture like a dosa batter consistency. Add salt. Mix well in a bowl.
3. Heat a dosa tawa. Add a ladle full of batter. Spread it into circles as you do for dosa. Add oil along the sides. Let it cook for a minute in a medium flame.
4. Flip it over the other side. After a minute take out.
5. Enjoy the healthy black rice Pesarattu with any Chutney....
Cooking time: 2 mins for each dosa
Serving: 6-7 dosas
Ingredients:
Black rice - 1/4 cupGreengram - 1/4 cup

1. Wash and Soak the rice and dals together for about 5-6 hours.2. Grind cumin seeds, ginger, coriander leaves coarsely. Then add the soaked mixture and grind it into a fine mixture like a dosa batter consistency. Add salt. Mix well in a bowl.
4. Flip it over the other side. After a minute take out.
5. Enjoy the healthy black rice Pesarattu with any Chutney....
