This is one of the easy recipes prepared with two main ingredients peppercorns and cumin seeds that has lots of health nutrients in additional to millets. Peppercorns - 2 tspn
Cumin seeds - 1 tspn
Mustard seeds - 1/4 tspn
Uraddal - 1/2 tbsn
Channadal - 1/2 tbsn
Cashews - 7
Curry leaves - few
Ghee - 2 tspn
Sesame oil - 1 tspn
Salt to taste
2. Cook the millets with water 1 cup for 6 mins in IP in High Pressure HP in sealed position. Then do Natural Pressure Release NPR. Open the lid. Fluff it with a fork. Grainy millets is ready. Keep it aside.
3. We have to prepare a powder for this recipe. Heat a pan. Add 1/2 tspn of ghee. Add cumin seeds and peppercorns. Fry for few seconds until a nice aroma comes. Cool down. Grind it into a coarse powder.
4. In the same pan add cashews and fry till it becomes golden brown. Keep it aside.
5. Heat a kadaai. Add oil, remaining ghee, mustard seeds, uraddal, channadal.
6. Add grinded powder. Saute for five seconds.
7. Add the cooked millets, salt. Mix well. Add cashews and curry leaves.
8. Healthy Millet pepper cumin rice is ready to serve.
