Dill Leaves Moongdal Dosa (Sadhakuppai Paasiparuppu Dosai)

Dill leaves, an aromatic herb treats urinary infection, kidney disease, menstrual cramps and sleeping disorders. This recipe can be prepared with few ingredients and no fermentation is needed. Just soak, grind and prepare the dosas to enjoy this flavourful dosa. I have already posted DOSAS/ADAI/UTHAPPAM RECIPES... Kindly check out that too.....

Cooking time: 2 mins for each dosa

Serving: 2

Ingredients:

Yellow moongdal - 1/2 cup
Dill leaves - 1/2 cup (chopped)
Cumin seeds - 1 tspn
Peppercorns - 3/4 tspn
Ginger - 1 inch
Oil for cooking dosa
Salt to taste

Method:

1. Grab all the ingredients. Wash and soak the dal for 2-3 hrs.

2. Grind the pepper and ginger coarsely. Now add the soaked Dal into that and grind into a fine paste. Transfer into a bowl.



3. Add the cumin seeds, Dill leaves and salt into the above mixture. Mix well. Now the batter is ready.

4. Heat a dosa pan. Take a ladle full of batter and spread it into circles. Drizzle oil around the edges. Cover and cook for 1 minute in a medium flame.

5. Flip the dosa on the other side and allow it to cook for another minute.

6. Dill leaves moongdal dosa is ready to serve with any spicy chutney...

Notes:

You can add onions in the batter if you like. And also green chillies if you prefer.
