Instant Pot Paneer Peas Pulao


This is a simple but easy way of preparing pulao with all the ingredients available in our kitchen. You can pack this healthy recipe in your lunchbox too. Check out my other BIRIYANI AND PULAO VARIETIES too.....

Ingredients:

Basmati rice - 1 1/2 cup  (1 cup-160 ml)
Onion - 1 (small, think sliced)
Green chilli - 4 (slitted)
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsn
Paneer - 1 1/4 cup
Frozen peas - 1/2 cup
Coconut milk - 2 1/4 cup (thin)
Mint leaves - a handful chopped
Coriander leaves - few (chopped)
Bayleaf - 2
Cinnamon - 1 1/2 inch
Cloves - 4
Cardamom - 2
Staranise - 1
Fried onion - for garnish (optional)
Ghee - 2 tspn
Oil - 2 tspn
Salt to taste

Method:

1. Grab all the ingredients. Wash and soak the rice for 30 mins.

2. Switch on the IP. Press the saute mode. Add a tspn of ghee and a tspn of oil. Add paneer. Fry till it becomes golden brown. Take out the paneer and keep it aside. You can avoid this step and directly add the freash paneer while adding peas.


3. To the pot add the remaining ghee and oil. Add bayleaf, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, staranise.

4. Add onions and green chillies. Saute till the onion becomes translucent.

5. Add ginger garlic paste and saute till the raw smell goes.

6. Add peas, mint leaves, salt. Saute for few seconds.

7. Add coconut milk, basmati rice, coriander leaves. Mix well.


8. Close the lid. Press the manual for 5 mins in High Pressure HP in sealed position. Then do Natural Pressure Release NPR.

9. Open the lid. Mix gently. Garnish with fried onions.

10. Easy paneer peas pulao is ready to serve.

Notes:

Adding fried paneer gives firm ones. you can add directly while sauteing to get softer ones.
You can serve it with any spicy curry or gravy as a side dish for this pulao.
