Instant Pot Tomato korma for Idly Dosa (IP Thakkali Kuruma)

This korma is a tasty recipe that is usually prepared  for idly and dosas in our house that goes well with poori and chappathis too. I have already posted the same recipe in stove top method too. Check out that too...
TOMATO KURUMA FOR IDLY DOSA

Cooking time: 8 mins

Serving: 3

Ingredients:

Tomato - 2 (chopped)
Onion - 1 (medium, sliced)
Green chilli - 2 (slitted)
Potato - 1 (chopped into medium chunks)
Turmeric - 1/4 tspn
Cinnamon - 1 inch
Cloves - 3
Mustard seeds - 1/4 tspn
Uraddal - 3/4 tspn
Curry leaves - few
Coriander leaves - few (chopped)
Oil - 1 tbsn
Salt to taste

To Grind:

Coconut - 1/3 cup
Fried gram (pottukadalai) - 2 tbsn
Red chilli - 2-3
Fennel seeds - 3/4 tspn
Kuskus - 1/4 tspn
Ginger - 1/2 inch
Garlic - 4 (small)

Method:

1. Grab all the ingredients.

2. Grind the ingredients for it into a paste (neither coarse nor paste, it should be little coarse) by adding water.

3. Switch on the IP. Press the saute mode. Add oil, cinnamon, cloves. Add mustard seeds, uraddal.

4. Add onion, green chillies, curry leaves. Saute till the onion turns pink.

5. Add tomato, salt, turmeric and saute till the tomato becomes little juicy (not too mushy).

6. Add potato. Mix well.

7. Add the grinded mixture. Add 1 1/2 cup of water. Mix well. Add few coriander leaves.

8. Close the lid. Press the manual for 4 mins in High Pressure HP in sealed position. Then do Quick Release QR after 10 mins (L0:10).

9. Open the lid. Add the coriander leaves.

10. Tangy tomato korma is ready to serve with idly and dosas.

Notes:

You can do the same korma without potatoes. You can add some fresh or frozen peas too in the korma.
Use round tomatoes for this korma to get the real tangy taste.
