Thinai Chola Paal / Sirudhaniya Paal (Foxtail Sorghum Milk / Millet Milk)

This is one of the super healthy energy drink that can be taken instead of coffee and tea. Though it takes a little more time to prepare when compared to tea and coffee it's definitely a good choice of a healthy evening drink. Here is the recipe.... Check out my other healthy MILLET recipes....

Ingredients:

Sorghum - 1 tbsn
Foxtail millet - 1 tbsn
Palm crystals - 1/2 cup
Dry ginger powder - 1/8 tspn
Cardamom powder - 1/8 tspn
Roasted flaxseeds - 1 tspn

Method:

1. Grab all the ingredients.

2. Dry roast the sorghum and foxtail millet until it changes it's colour slightly. Cool down. Grind it into a fine paste using little water.


3. Add 1/2 cup of water to the palm crystals. Boil it until it gets dissolved.

4. Heat a sauce pan. Add 2 cups of water. Once the water starts boiling add the grinded paste, strained palm crystals. Mix well.


5. Cook for about 10 mins. Add the dry ginger powder, cardamom powder. Switch off.

6. Garnish with roasted flaxseeds. Yummy millet milk is ready to serve hot.

Notes:

You can add roasted almonds or cashews for topping.
You can add jaggery or palm jaggery for sweetness. Don't add white sugar.
