This is a yummy combination for poori n roti varieties. I have already posted turkey gravy for rotis n poori. Check out my Shrimp kadaai roast and shrimp biriyani too.
Onion - 1 (thinly sliced)
Tomato - 2
Green chillies - 2 (finely chopped)
Ginger garlic paste - 2 tspn
Coriander powder - 2 tspn
Red chilli powder - 1 tspn
Cumin powder - 1/2 tspn
Pepper powder - 1 tspn
Garam masala - 1/4 tspn
Turmeric - 1/4 tspn
Cinnamon - 1 inch
Fennel seeds - 1 tspn
Oil - 2 tbsn
Curry leaves - few
Coriander leaves - few (chopped)
Salt to taste
2. Switch on the IP. Press the saute mode. Add oil, cinnamon and fennel seeds.
3. Add onions, green chillies, curry leaves. Saute till the onion becomes light golden brown.
4. Add ginger garlic paste and saute till the raw smell goes.
5. Add tomato puree, salt. Saute till the raw smell goes.
6. Add all the spice powders and mix well. It becomes like a thick masala.
7. Add shrimp. Saute for a minute. Don't add any water. Shrimp will cook from its own water content.
8. Close the lid. Press the saute mode for 3 mins in High Pressure HP in sealed position. Then do Natural Pressure Release NPR.
9. Open the lid. Add coriander leaves.
10. Mouthwatering yummy shrimp thokku is ready to serve with chappathi.
