This restaurant style potato masala is a very simple and easy dish that can be prepared with a few ingredients quickly.
Onion - 1 (big, sliced)
Green chilli - 4 (chopped)
Garlic - 3 (chopped)
Fried gram powder (pottukadalai podi) - 2 tbsn
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tspn
Uraddal - 1 tspn
Curry leaves - few
Coriander leaves - few
Turmeric - 1/2 tspn
Oil - 2 tspn
Salt to taste
2. Switch on the IP. Press the saute mode. Add oil, mustard seeds and uraddal.
3. Add garlic and green chillies. Saute for few seconds.
4. Add onions and saute for 2 mins. Add turmeric and salt.
5. Add potatoes. Mix well. Dilute the fried gram powder with 1 1/2 cup of water. Add this to the potato mixture. Add coriander leaves.
6. Close the lid. Press the manual for 1 min in High Pressure in sealed position. Then do Quick Release QR.
7. Open the lid.
8. Restaurant style potato masala is ready to serve with pooris or chappathi.
You can directly add the raw potatoes and follow the same procedure but press the manual for 4-5 mins.

1. Grab all the ingredients.2. Switch on the IP. Press the saute mode. Add oil, mustard seeds and uraddal.
3. Add garlic and green chillies. Saute for few seconds.

5. Add potatoes. Mix well. Dilute the fried gram powder with 1 1/2 cup of water. Add this to the potato mixture. Add coriander leaves.

Notes:
You can add besan or gram flour instead of pottukadalai podi. Normally in restaurants they add besan.You can directly add the raw potatoes and follow the same procedure but press the manual for 4-5 mins.
