Instant Pot Cabbage kuruma

This kuruma is a spicy one that goes well for both tiffin and rice. Peas will be a good combo with cabbage. You can also do without peas. Check out my spicy pepper cauliflower kuruma in IP too.

Serving: 4

Ingredients:

Cabbage - 2 1/2 cup (chopped)
Peas - 1/2 cup
Onion - 1 (big, sliced)
Green chilli - 3
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsn
Turmeric - 1/2 tspn
Curry leaves - few
Oil - 2 tspn
Salt to taste

To Grind:

Coconut - 1/4 cup (grated)
Peppercorns - 1 1/2 tspn
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tspn
Fennel seeds - 1/2 tspn
Cinnamon - 1 inch
Cloves - 2
Cardamom - 1
Staranise - 1
Marathi moggu - 1
Kuskus - 1 tspn
Cashews - 4

Method:

1. Grab all the ingredients.

2. Grind all the ingredients given for grinding into a fine paste.

3. Switch on the IP. Press the saute mode. Add oil, onions, curry leaves,  green chillies and saute till it becomes light brown.

4. Add ginger garlic paste and saute till the raw smell goes.

5. Add cabbage, turmeric, salt and saute for a minute.

6. Add the grinded paste, peas, coriander leaves and a cup of water.

7. Close the lid. Press the manual mode for 6 mins in High Pressure HP in sealed position. Then do Natural Pressure Release NPR.

8. Open the lid. Enjoy the cabbage kuruma with plain rice.
