Anchovy fry (Nethili fry)

Anchovies are a rich source of iron, containing 12 percent of the recommended daily intake for men and 5 percent for women, beneficial for heart health.It reduce bad cholesterol levels in the blood and reduce the risk of serious cardiovascular problems.

Ingredients:

Anchovy - 250 gms
Sambar powder - 1 tspn
Raw chilli powder - 1 tspn
Turmeric - 1/4 tspn
Lemon juice - 1 tspn
Oil for frying
Salt to taste

Method:

1. Grab all the ingredients.

2. Mix all the ingredients except oil and marinate it for 1 hr.

3. Heat a pan. Add oil. Place the fish with enough space.

4. Fry until it becomes crispy on both sides.

Notes:

It goes well with dal rice, sambar, rasam and even it can be taken as a snack.

    1. Thanks.I don't use store bought fish masala like Shakthi or Aachi brand.This is a homemade Sambar powder.You can use 2 tspns of coriander powder and 1 tspn of red chilli powder...
