I have already posted a pongal recipe with brahmi leaves and millet. This recipe is also a combination of using greens (Drumstick Leaves) with bamboo rice that both has lots of health nutrients such as very low fat rice rich in vitaminB, a healthy option for diabetic patients because of low glycemic index properties. INSTANT POT BRAHMI LEAVES MILLET PONGAL
VEGETABLE RAVA PONGAL
Roasted split green gram - 1/4 cup
Drumstick Leaves - 1 cup
Ginger - 1 inch (finely chopped)
Cumin seeds - 2 tspn
Peppercorns - 1 tspn
Water - 2 1/2 cup
Oil - 2 tspn
Ghee - 3 tspn
Salt to taste
2. Grind the rice into a coarse mixture.
3. Add the grinded rice mixture, Dal in the pot. Add salt. Add water. Mix well.
4. Close the lid. Press the manual for 12 mins in High Pressure HP in sealed position. Then do Natural Pressure Release NPR.
5. Open the lid.
6. Heat a kadaai. Add oil, ghee. Add cumin seeds, peppercorns, ginger.
7. Add the drumstick leaves. Saute for about 5 mins in medium flame until it gets cooked well.
8. Add this to the rice Dal mixture. Mix well.
9. Healthy bamboo rice drumstick leaves pongal is ready to serve.

Ingredients:
Bamboo rice - 3/4 cupRoasted split green gram - 1/4 cup

Ginger - 1 inch (finely chopped)
Cumin seeds - 2 tspn
Peppercorns - 1 tspn
Water - 2 1/2 cup
Oil - 2 tspn
Ghee - 3 tspn
Salt to taste
Method:
1. Grab all the ingredients. Wash and soak the bamboo rice overnight. Wash and soak the dal for 1 hr.2. Grind the rice into a coarse mixture.
