Instant Pot barley celery soup

Barley helps in weight loss and treats diabetes. I have already posted few soup recipes with barley such as barley horsegram soup and barley tomato soup in my blog. Check out that too.

Ingredients:

Barley - 3/4 cup
Celery - 1 stem (chopped)
Mushroom - 4 (chopped)
Spring onions -1 tbsn (white part)
Spring onions -1 tbsn (green part)
Italian seasoning - 1/2 tspn
Pepper powder - 1/2 tspn
Milk - 1/2 cup
Butter - 1 tspn
Salt to taste

Method:

1. Grab all the ingredients.

2. Switch on the IP. Add butter, white part of spring onions, celery, mushroom. Saute for a minute.

3. Add barley, milk, 1 1/2 cups of water, pepper powder, Italian seasoning, salt.

4. Close the lid. Press the manual mode for 10 mins in High Pressure HP in sealed position. Then do Natural Pressure Release NPR.

5. Open the lid. Add the green part of spring onions.

6. Enjoy the hot milky barley celery soup.

Notes:

I have added raw milk. You can add boiled milk too.
You can add carrot, beans and peas too.
