This recipe is one of the best evening snacks that can be prepared quickly if you have soaked peas in hand.
Garlic - 4 pods (medium size)
Red chilli - 4
Fennel seeds - 1 tspn
Turmeric - 1/4 tspn
Onion - 1/2 cup (finely chopped)
Carrot - 1/4 cup (grated)
Coriander leaves - few (chopped)
Lemon juice - 1/2 tspn
Oil - 2 tspn
Salt to taste
2. In a mixer jar add garlic, turmeric, red chillies, fennel seeds, salt and grind it with little water into a fine paste.
3. Heat a kadaai. Add oil. Add the grounded paste and saute for 3-4 mins until the raw smell goes.
4. Add the peas and saute till the masala coats the peas well.
5. Switch off. Squeeze the lemon juice and add little onions, carrots, coriander leaves. Mix well.
6. Garnish with remaining onions, carrots and coriander leaves. Peas chat is ready for the yummy evening snack.
Soak the peas in a bulk for 8 hrs. Drain the water. Now you can freeze the peas. We can prepare the chat or any peas dish whenever needed.
