Tangy tomato dosa (Thakkali dosai)

When One of my friends requested this recipe in my blog I decided to do in a different way . This way of doing is actually very tasty and I liked a lot.

Cooking time: 20 mins

Ingredients:

Dosa batter - 2 cups
Tomato - 2 (big, chopped)
Ginger - 2 inch (chopped)
Red chilli - 6
Cumin seeds - 1 ½ tspn
Oil - 2 tspn
Salt to taste

Method:

1. Grab all the ingredients.

2. Heat a pan. Add oil, cumin seeds.

3. Add ginger and red chilli. Saute for 2 seconds.

4. Add tomatoes and salt. Saute till it becomes mushy.



5. Switch off and allow it to cool completely.

6. Grind in a mixer jar.

7. Add this mixture to the batter and mix well.

8. Heat a dosa tawa. Spread a ladle full of batter into circles and sprinkle oil around the edges. Cover with a lid and cook.

9. Tangy Dosa is ready to serve.

Notes:

You can serve this dosa with coconut/ mint/ coriander chutney.
Don't add water while grinding tomatoes as the batter will become watery after mixing.
You can prepare like normal dosas and uthappam with this batter.
