Millet porridge (saamai kanji-version version 2)


Already I have posted the Millet porridge version 1 using the same little Millet.This method is very very simple compared to version 1.

Cooking time: 15 mins

Serving: 1

Ingredients:

Little Millet -1/4 cup
Garlic - 1 (big pod,finely chopped)
Red chilli - 1
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tspn
Mustard seeds - 1/4 tspn
Turmeric - 1/4 tspn
Water - 2 cups
Sesame oil - 1 tspn
Salt to taste

Method:

1. Grab all ingredients.

2 .Heat a sauce pan. Add oil, mustard seeds,red chilli,cumin seeds and curry leaves.

3. Add Garlic and saute for few seconds.

4. Add washed Millet, turmeric and salt.

5. Add water and cook for 10 mins.

6. Switch off and the porridge is ready for serving.
